Sourdough Croutons

Easier than you think to make, perfect for salads or snacking anytime.

A great use for leftover sourdough loaves

Have you ever held a stale, 3 day old end of bread and felt guilty tossing it, but it didn't seem appetizing? What about baking a disappointing loaf: over or underproofed? Making croutons is a perfect way to save that bread and make it into something delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 loaf sourdough bread
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Seasonings to taste: garlic, herbs, parmesan cheese, salt, etc.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375F.
  2. Cut bread into 1" cubes
  3. In a large bowl, toss bread cubes with olive oil.
  4. Season and toss to combine.
  5. Transfer to a large baking sheet in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, until golden brown.

Store in an airtight container.
