Sourdough Croutons
Easier than you think to make, perfect for salads or snacking anytime.
A great use for leftover sourdough loaves
Have you ever held a stale, 3 day old end of bread and felt guilty tossing it, but it didn't seem appetizing? What about baking a disappointing loaf: over or underproofed? Making croutons is a perfect way to save that bread and make it into something delicious!
Ingredients
- 1/2 loaf sourdough bread
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Seasonings to taste: garlic, herbs, parmesan cheese, salt, etc.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375F.
- Cut bread into 1" cubes
- In a large bowl, toss bread cubes with olive oil.
- Season and toss to combine.
- Transfer to a large baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for 15 minutes, until golden brown.
Store in an airtight container.
